The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. Position Summary: Effectively manage chronic disease including clinical management, relationship building, patient education, activation and engagement. 
Utilizing advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, the Physician works in collaboration with physicians and other health care
professionals to provide excellent care.

Position Qualifications: 

 

  • Minimum Education: Medical Degree (MD or DO). Completion of an ACGME accredited residency program. 
     
  • License, Certification, Registration: Current Licensure as a physician in an appropriate state. Current Certification in CPR. Successful completion of credentialing at YKHC. 
     
  • Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
    See large spectrum of patients in clinic and hospital settings. Work collaboratively in team environment in this accredited program.
