The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. Position Summary: Performs diversified administrative secretarial duties in areas of records management, general program maintenance and other special projects for department head and department as needed.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Minimum Experience: Certificate of secretarial training or a combination of two or more years experience in a secretarial or administrative position and college-related courses. Computer experience including ability to use Power Point, Excel, and create graphs and charts. Work experience sufficient to have acquired and developed the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the functions of the position.
License, Certification, Registration: Valid Driver’s License preferred. No specific license, certification or registrations required.
Equipment/Tools: Computer proficiency with various software and database systems, calculator, multi-line phone, fax/copy machine.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Significant experience using Word processing software, Excel, Power Point, E-mail, Web searches, and graphs and charts. Experience taking meeting minutes and writing summary reports. Ability to operate photocopy machine, fax machine, and shredder. Ability to file and proofread documents. Excellent human relations skills and oral/written communication skills.
