This is a unique opportunity for an experienced, well-rounded Accountant to join our dynamic Project team in our Toronto location to work full-time on one specific client assignment. The client is a large Canadian company that has global operations. Our assignment relates to maintaining the general ledgers for the company's entities. Your role as a key member of the team will be involved in client service, working on a team basis, and executing on the Project along with a Partner, Manager and 3 other staff. Travel will not be required so it presents an opportunity to work with the team from our Downtown Toronto office, while at the same time, learn about financing structures for global acquisitions and financing products.
We are looking for a team player who is committed to providing the highest level of service to our clients and helping us build our reputation as the preferred business advisors in our marketplace.
As an Accountant, Public Entity Client [non-audit], your responsibilities will include:
• Work with a team of professionals who assist in executing the Project
• Be part of a fast growing environment with engaged professionals who are respected in their fields
• Develop solutions with the client and co-workers through collaborative analysis and discussion

Think you’ve got what it takes to be an Accountant, Public Entity Client [non-audit]? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:
• Accounting diploma or certificate or equivalent experience in this field
• 1-3+ years of experience in accounting for an owner-managed business is preferred
• Experience with Caseware, Taxprep, QuickBooks and Simply Accounting is as asset
• Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Strong bookkeeping and organizational skills
• Solid analytical skills including ability to identify unusual transactions or accounts and ask questions to clarify understanding
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Client service focus, demonstrated initiative and a team player
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail
• Experience with HST regulations and returns an asset
