Temporary Conference Registration Desk Staff   - Needed for Approx. 11/4-11/10/23

The Charleston Hub is seeking several candidates for temporary full-time Registration Desk Staff positions to help conference attendees at a conference in Charleston, SC from November 4 – November 10, 2023.

Eligible candidates must be able to work in Charleston, SC and must be able to work Full-Time hours of 8-12 hours per day. Candidates must also be able to stand or sit for long periods of time and lift and move objects which weigh 30-40 pounds. Other requirements are listed below. Note: Attire required is business casual.

Responsibilities include:

·    Helping with packing conference bags and inserting materials provided by sponsors, focusing on details to ensure correct materials are placed in bags 

·    Providing superior customer service by helping conference attendees pickup their conference packets and distributing conference materials and information to them

·    Folding tee-shirts

·    Assisting at the hotel information desk providing information in a clear and professional manner

·    Assisting with vendor showcase booth set up and break down

 Qualified candidates must have:

·       Excellent customer service skills

·       Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with diplomacy and professionalism

·       Strong initiative with positive, can-do attitude

·       Ability to take direction well and quickly adapt and be flexible with changing responsibilities and circumstances

·       Ability to work well with others in a team environment and treats others with respect and consideration

·       Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency

·       Demonstrated dependability and reliability with ability to arrive for work on time, follow instructions, complete tasks, meet productivity standards, demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and commit to hours of work needed

·       Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time up to 12 hours per day

·       Ability to lift and move objects 30-40 pounds
