The Brattle Group is seeking a driven Human Resources Assistant in our Boston, MA office. The Human Resources (HR) Assistant will provide support to the functional areas of the HR department with a focus on the Benefits and Compensation and the Learning and Development (L&D) teams. The HR Assistant will ensure high quality and timely execution of transactional and administrative HR processes. This position will work with all members of the HR team and reports to the Senior Manager of Compensation and Benefits.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with HRIS data entry including processing new hires, terminations, salary changes, title changes, benefit changes etc.
- Support the onboarding of new employees by sending out the welcome email prior to start date and collecting new hire paperwork; completing I-9 form and entering new employees into E-Verify; drafting orientation schedules and Fun Facts for incoming new hires; coordinate approved schedules with applicable departments/groups; draft new hire announcements for firm wide distribution
- Create, maintain and update electronic employee files
- Ensure that appropriate internal and external groups are notified of new hires, status changes, and terminations
- Assist with employee benefit enrollments, processing of wellness claims and leave of absence paperwork
- Create and distribute employee exit, transfer, leave and change in status letters
- Contribute to compensation related activities including scheduling meetings, compensation sheet mail merges, and posting compensation sheets
- Assist L&D team with retreats and biannual onboarding program (Brattle 101) including planning, travel tracking, document production, participant emails; assist with New Consultant Training (NCT) scheduling
- Complete various tasks utilizing Brattle’s Learning Management System (Bridge) including uploads, tracking, metrics, invitation management and other support needs for all classes and Brattle Talks
- Act as secondary resource to Talent Acquisition Assistant and the HR Assistant in Europe
THE CANDIDATE
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 1 year of professional experience or office based internship, ideally in a professional services environment
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
- Ability and desire to work in a dynamic office environment involving multiple tasks
- Must be able to exercise good judgment in handling confidential information and matters
- Requires ability to concentrate and manage a high volume of details
- Dedicated focus on customer service
- Ability to build rapport with team and internal clients
- Problem solving attitude
- Ability to work overtime when required
- Occasional travel may be required
