The Brattle Group, a privately held, global economics consulting firm, is looking for a Director of Talent Acquisition to join our Boston, MA or Washington, DC office. The Director of Talent Acquisition (TA) is responsible for developing, innovating, leading, and implementing strategies, processes, and programs to attract top talent.  This is a high impact and high profile role within the firm.  The Director of TA partners with senior leadership to understand strategic hiring goals related to recruitment and building talent pipelines, ensures that relevant metrics are analyzed and available to support decision-making, and takes a leadership role in creating and maintaining an environment, which prioritizes diversity and inclusion. This position reports to the Vice-President Talent and is responsible for managing, motivating and developing the Talent Acquisition team. 

 

Some of the day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:

  • Participates in the organizational strategic planning for staff and provides expertise in the development and implementation of talent acquisition
  • Works with key stakeholders to develop a clear understanding of the Company’s employment brand and ensures consistent messaging in attracting and assessing potential hires
  • Executes the full recruiting life-cycle for associate consulting staff; and manages all other recruiting below the principal level
  • Works with practice areas to define position requirements, including recommending and implementing selection criteria
  • Motivates, coaches, and elevates the capabilities of team members while leading by example
  • Ensures cohesive and collaborative TA team that works well with others within and outside of the Company
  • Works with HR team and key stakeholders to ensure competitive salary structure for all staff outside of the Principal group
  • Continuously improves processes to ensure hiring practices are in alignment with workforce expectations, Company resources, and ease of decision-making
  • Identifies, develops, tracks, maintains, and analyzes relevant metrics to better understand and enable informed decision making
  • Provides a well-organized and regularly updated TA infrastructure (offer letters, compensation guidelines, interview and decision process, etc.)

 

THE CANDIDATE

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; graduate degree in business administration or related field is highly desirable
  • Requires 15+ years of recruiting, at least 5 years of which includes management of staff
  • Experience in a professional services or other environment with campus recruiting and/or highly educated staff
  • Experience recruiting for remote locations, including locations outside of the United States
  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email systems required
  • Experience with one or more Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Fast paced office environment handling multiple tasks and demands
  • Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment as necessary
  • Requires the ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
  • Occasional travel is required
  • Evening and/or weekend work may be required
