Data Governance Analyst

The Data Governance Analyst is responsible for creating standards for the data definitions, assisting in governing the Heartland Alliance data, and helping to support the development and execution of a data governance framework across all Heartland Alliance companies. The Data Governance Analyst is also responsible for helping to establish and maintain visibility, trust, and confidence in Heartlands’s data through the development and implementation of an enterprise data governance program and strategy. In addition, the Data Governance Analyst establishes organizational support for the data governance program, and collaborates with various functions and business units to establish and gain consensus on priorities, standards, definitions, policies and rules associated with ownership and use of enterprise wide information. The Data Governance Analyst acts as a liaison between business functions, Information Technology (IT) and leadership, providing guidance and direction for enterprise data governance framework and best practices.

Education and/or Experience:
Language and Communications Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Excellent verbal and written skills; a strong leader in presenting information, ideas and results is required to internal and external audiences.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, and area.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Technical Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Specific areas of experience should include:
