Position

The HR Coordinator will be a member of the Human Resources team will provide a wide range of administrative support to the human resources department.  Primary responsibilities of the HR Coordinator include, supporting the fall campus recruiting process and support staff hiring; supporting the performance review process; coordinating meetings for the Senior HR team members. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-functioning Human Resources team while gaining a comprehensive understanding of the nonprofit sector.

Responsibilities and Duties

Review process support

  • Support bi-annual consensus review meetings each March and September for Bridgespan Advisory staff by scheduling meetings, taking notes, doing meeting follow-up
  • Provide assistance to bi-annual review processes with ad-hoc responsibilities

Onboarding

  • Responsible for sending “Transition team” emails to notify various individuals of the start date of our new hires
  • Coordinating with tech support at Bain to ensure new joiners have laptops
  • Initiate the onboarding process in our HRIS system for all new hires in U.S.

Campus recruiting and staff hiring

  • Utilizing sourcing tools, including internal database searches, job boards, social media outlets and referrals to increase applicant  pools
  • Reviewing resumes and conducting phone screens
  • Interview scheduling and gatehring feedback

HR Programs:

Service Awards

  •  
  • Track service award eligibility for employees, coordinate with local representatives to plan celebrations for staff reaching milestones
  • Arrange ordering and invoicing of all service awards as needed; distribute to staff reaching milestones

Independent Contractor Process

  •  
  • Manage process for onboarding independent contractors, maintaining contractor templates and coordinating with Finance team on contractor payments, etc.

Employment Eligibility

  •  
  •  Manage I-9 process for Bridgespan, completing I-9s with all new employees in the U.S, ensuring compliance with regulations, and participating in regular audits

HRIS System & Other Responsibilities

  •  
  • Assist with data-entry in HRIS system (Ultipro)
  • Coordinate meetings, including planning and facilitating HR team meetings
  • Provide administrative and calendar support to Senior Director of HR; support HR senior staff with scheduling of large & complex meetings
  • Manage all unemployment claims for Bridgespan
  • Handle all employment verifications for Bridgespan

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • 1-2  years of HR experience required
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and deal with highly confidential information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required 
  • Enthusiasm for Bridgespan’s organizational values and commitment to racial equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Orientation to quality, continuous improvement and customer service
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to learn new technology quickly, is required
  • Experience with Taleo preferred
