Position:

The Finance Analyst will work as part of a small financial planning and analysis team to provide budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analytical support to Bridgespan’s business units. The ideal candidate will be highly proactive, with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, and success in this position will require developing strong relationships with key internal customers.

This position would be a great opportunity for a finance professional with 1-2 years of relevant experience to serve as part of a team that is a trusted financial partner to key business units.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Working with more senior team members, contribute to the monthly financial close process
  • Track, report, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual key performance indicators for management and Board
  • Provide extensive support to the annual budget process, including maintenance of org-wide budget models, assisting with coordination of communications and meetings with key internal customers, and updating of PowerPoint slides
  • Support senior team members to complete ad hoc analytical requests, such as updating of long-term financial models

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (finance or accounting degree is highly desirable)
  • 1-2 years of experience in corporate or nonprofit financial planning and analysis
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and solid attention to detail
  • Experience with financial models
  • Demonstrated ability to own key processes
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a deadline-driven professional services environment
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles
  • Familiarity with Blackbaud or other accounting software
  • Comfortable with web-based systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Commitment to the nonprofit sector
