The Bridgespan Group is hiring a Junior Website Developer to support its public facing website. As part of the Bridgespan Institute Publishing Team, the day-to-day work will involve fixes and improvements on existing website content and code as well as implementing new solutions and applications. This position is preferably located in any of our U.S offices (Boston, New York, or San Francisco) with remote working options. This position will report to the Bridgespan Institute’s Senior Director in Knowledge and work under mentorship and coaching from the Senior Software Systems Architect, joining a team of growing developers on the Bridgespan Information Services Team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Use HTML and CSS in an ASP.NET Core MVC application to customized and update existing content on the site as well as new content features requested by the Knowledge team
  • Work with the development team and Institute publishing team on maintaining, enhancing, and implementing JavaScript and C# based applications for the website
  • Collaborate with our Senior Software Solution Architect on project plans, scope, and timeline estimations to internal clients for website projects
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues with minimal supervision in a timely manner
  • Follow established strong development coding and documentation standards for code approval
  • Work with external contractors on code submission and deployment coordination
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Microsoft Full Stack website development
  • 2+ years of experience working with HTML, CSS, .NET Core/Framework, MVC, C#, JavaScript
  • Experience with Sass (SCSS) CSS extension language and Vue JavaScript framework a plus
  • Experience with Azure Web Apps and relevant Azure website technology is a plus
  • Experience working with content management systems; experience with Kentico CMS a plus
  • Strong organization and time-management skills; ability to self-motivate against deadlines
  • Creative thinker and resourceful problem-solver who can quickly identify pros/cons, potential risks, and alternative solutions

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfort working with non-technical teams to translate business requests into technical solutions
