Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled IT Technician to support the installation, configuration, and rollout of IT hardware, specifically chromebooks, desktops, peripherals, etc. This role is critical to ensuring that technology deployments are carried out smoothly, efficiently, and according to company standards.

Pay rate: $18-$22/hr 

Duration based on project needs 

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
  • Image systems using standard deployment tools (e.g., SCCM, MDT).
  • Install and configure operating systems and software applications.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure seamless transition and minimal downtime during deployments.
  • Perform hardware audits and maintain accurate asset inventory records.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and post-deployment.
  • Provide end-user support and training as needed.
  • Follow established deployment processes, checklists, and documentation standards.

  • Ensure compliance with data protection and cybersecurity policies during deployment.

     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support or deployment roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
  • Experience with imaging and deployment tools (SCCM, MDT, Ghost, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and remote support tools.
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
