We are currently looking for a Business Analyst to join our team!

The Business Analyst’s primary responsibility will be to capture, manage, and provide quality assurance of the functional and business requirements for Custom-built solutions. This will primarily involve strategic tools and technologies that interface or otherwise relate to Custom’s Infinite Campus implementations.  The individual is expected to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Infinite Campus and related State Reporting, Custom Reporting, and interfaces to third party systems.

This individual will work closely with project management and the development team to ensure development efforts accurately represent our clients' unique and specific needs.

This position requires a motivated, highly organized person who is driven to achieve results and can concurrently manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities include

·         Thoroughly understand the business requirements and specifications related to the tools and technologies used in conjunction with Infinite Campus
·         Document and communicate functional requirements with the school district and the development team
·         Work closely with the key users and technical resources
·         Conduct client interviews
·         Design business and technical solutions to meet user’s requirements
·         Perform Quality Assurance on developed solutions to ensure proper functionality
·         Train Custom and/or client personnel on the use of developed solutions
·         Troubleshoot user issues in a ticketing system, as needed

 

Requirements for this position include:

This position requires an individual with exceptional problem-solving skills.  The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, highly motivated, and capable of handling multiple issues concurrently in a fast-paced environment.  They will also have experience directly interfacing with external customers as well as analyzing and documenting requests for service.

·         Bachelor’s degree

·         1 - 3 years of post-college experience preferred

·         Experience in requirements gathering and deliverables documentation

·         Good analytical and evaluative skills

·         Demonstrated capability to deliver functional designs and solutions

·         Testing new developments with attention to detail

·         Written and oral communication abilities

·         Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

·         Work collaboratively in a team environment

·         Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges

 

Additional qualifications:

·         Experience with or knowledge of UML, RUP, etc. a plus

·         Understanding of SQL and Relational Database Systems a plus

·         Experience with Crystal Reports and/or MS SQL Reporting Services a plus
