OVERVIEW

The Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting workstations and peripherals for a large healthcare client organization. This role includes deploying new equipment, integrating devices into the network environment, and performing EPIC EMR testing on both new and existing workstations to ensure Go-Live readiness.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with workstation imaging, hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting, along with strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.

A valid driver’s license is required, as daily travel is expected throughout Long Island, the five boroughs of NYC, and Westchester County. Mileage reimbursement and approved technical certification reimbursement are provided.

                                                                                                                                                                                                               

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Travel to client locations across Long Island, NYC (five boroughs), and Westchester County, transporting hardware as needed
  • Image, configure, and deploy workstations following established SOPs
  • Install and integrate desktops, laptops, tablets, and related hardware/software into the network environment
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot peripherals, including printers, document scanners, badge readers, signature pads, and barcode scanners
  • Perform EPIC EMR testing to validate device readiness for application Go-Live
  • Test and troubleshoot workstation hardware, software, and peripheral functionality
  • Survey, inventory, and document existing workstation hardware and software
  • Remove, catalog, and replace legacy workstation equipment as required
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including inventory records, issue resolution, and client sign-off
  • Provide post-installation and post-deployment support as needed
  • Collaborate with end users to ensure expectations are met or exceeded and obtain formal sign-off on completed work
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Strong ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Working knowledge of wireless devices and network integration processes
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

 

Preferred

  • 1–2 years of experience in hardware and software installation or integration
  • CompTIA A+ certification
