This position requires you to live within a 200-mile radius of our Nashville, TN office.
            This position is required to be in the office for at least the first week for hands-on training.
After training is completed, your in-office time is at least twice per month, and upon Management request.

POSITION SUMMARY  Review submitted closed mortgage loan documentation for 1st and 2nd liens based on loan program requirements for purchase from Originating Agents (OAs).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Reviews closed mortgage loan documentation to ensure documents are executed properly, mortgage loan meets insurer and Agency guidelines, and Agency is in first lien position; including Closing Disclosure and initial escrows; verify Loan Origination System (LOS) data accuracy within review scope.

  •  Reviews closed second mortgage loan note and Deed of Trust to ensure Agency is in second lien position and documents are executed correctly; including Closing Disclosure; and verify LOS data accuracy within review scope.

  • Provides pertinent loan details – i.e. original collateral tracking – within Encompass Conversation Log.

  • Reviews loans to ensure mortgage loans are properly insured by Government Agencies or Private Mortgage Insurance Companies.

  • Reviews collateral for accuracy and notifies Investor Delivery Coordinator when cleared for document custodian delivery.  

  • Maintains a high level of written and oral communication with OAs to ensure accurate and timely receipt of documentation.

  • Maintains timely follow-up with the lenders for outstanding documentation to ensure loan purchase prior to First Payment Due Date.

  • Works closely with mortgage loan underwriting section to insure accurate loan closing or resolve closing conditions.

  • Provides excellent customer service in answering telephones (General Information Line) in a businesslike manner, giving general information to lenders and potential new OAs, answering basic questions from potential borrowers and transferring accurately, when needed, to the appropriate section within Single Family Loan Operations (SFLO); responds to messages on General Information Line.

  • Offers support to Final Documents Team when necessary.

  • Offers support to other areas in the division, such as data entry or scanning, as necessary or as time allows.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

 Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.

  • Experience in the mortgage lending field; minimum of three years of experience is preferred.

  • Recent employment in the mortgage banking field is preferred.     

The above qualifications express the minimum standards of education and/or experience for this position. Other combinations of education and experience, if evaluated as equivalent, may be taken into consideration.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:

  •  Knowledge of compliance requirements for Federal Housing Administration (FHA), Veterans Administration (VA), United States Department of Agriculture/Rural Development (USDA/RD), Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (FHLMC), Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA), and Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI).

  • Knowledge of Loan Product Advisor and Loan Selling Advisor or the ability to learn and understand these quickly.

  • Knowledge of TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosures

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
