R&D Specialist in Electronic Systems Simulation

HyperWorks software suite is the world's most widely used EAC software. Built on process automation, data management, and design optimization, HyperWorks is a suite of simulation tools for design and rapid decision-making for product design.

Within the HyperWorks suite, the Altair HyperSpiceTM tool interfaces with other cross-functional tools such as Alaitr FEKOTM, Altair PollExTM, Altair PSIMTM and AltairTwin-ActivateTM by providing them with a solution for electronic circuit simulation. This flow is essential for the respective modeling of antennas, printed circuit boards, motor control circuits and more general electronic systems. For the purpose of extending our simulator, we are looking for a specialist in electronic simulation but also in software development.

Job Summary

In order to expand our electrical circuit simulation technology, we are seeking for a high-experienced specialist in electronic simulation who will join our team of R&D engineers and participate in the development of the Altair HyperSpiceTM software in our offices in Meylan (38), near Grenoble. a program manager for our electrical/electronic/mechatronic development (i.e. providing use cases, specifications for development and close interaction with development during the implementation process, creating test cases & marketing material, etc..).

The primary focus is to guide the development efforts for the electrical simulation, using existing Altair technologies and developing new ones. It will require good knowledge of the electronic simulation field, design and analysis tools of the market.

In order to be able to model ever more complex devices through the integration of circuit models from microelectronics, power electronics but also mechatronic systems, we implement new techniques to guarantee ever faster simulations to our customers. Within our innovative team we are looking for skills in systems and software engineering, extensive experience in applied mathematics and simulation technology for electronics.

After getting to grips with the HyperSpiceTM simulator, you will have the task of carrying out the various software developments necessary and participating in the technical proposals for its evolution. You will have to participate in the testing and analysis of circuits from libraries and/or customers, identify and implement actions for the improvement of our simulator. You will have to be adaptable and scalable on this project which combines software programming and electronic simulation.

The Altair HyperSpiceTM team is responsible for improving the software and is also interested in topics such as parallel computing, linear solvers and new innovative numerical methods. Within this multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to benefit from an enriching work environment, conducive to collaboration and independent work.

• You have an engineering school or equivalent
• You have a strong background in simulation and applied mathematics
• You are comfortable with programming (C, C++, Perl, Python, Julia)
• You have a good knowledge of simulation based on the Spice language.
• You have good ability to work in a team and take responsibility
• You are autonomous, proactive and rigorous
• You are comfortable with English
