Lead Technical Specialist - SAS

Summary:
The candidate must have the capability to create, design and build systems for collecting, storing, and analysing data. They should have had exposure building data pipelines, preparing data, and building, validating, and deploying predictive models. Experience with the Language of SAS is required.
Primary skills required:
- 4- 10 years significant experience in using the SAS and SQL Languages
- Experience in an Unix environment
- Experience in complex data manipulations using SAS Language
- Experience in SAS platform administration
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including strong presentation and demonstration skills,
- Experience presenting to all levels of business including C-level executives is strongly desired
- Experience addressing challenges with “Big Data” using Jupyter/PySpark and Hadoop is desired
- MLOps / Model Management and Deployment in Public Cloud or Private Cloud is desired.
- Development of an end-to-end implementation of a Data Science project in Cloud or on-premise is desired.
Applicants should have skills in one or more areas:
- Cloud and\or Server Administration
- Mainframe experience
- Excellent understanding of databases core concepts and familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB)
- Awareness of data warehouse and ETL concepts.
- Working with different SAS modules for developing data pipelines and data modelling.
- Experience with using cloud services (AWS/ Google/ Azure) and cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS)
- Advanced Degree in Sciences, Computer Science, Math, IT, or related field
Minimum Requirements:
- Post Grad Data Science related degrees or certificates also preferable
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role. 4-10 years’ experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects while paying strict attention to detail University undergrad degree in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of data mining and data Modelling.
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
- Outstanding problem solver.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Identifying/understanding the business problem (abstract level)
- Understanding in End-to-End lifecycle of data-intensive application
