Backend Software Engineer (Java, K8S)

Job Summary:

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will work closely with your experienced team to tackle challenges and solve problems that arise from bringing to life our data analytics and AI platform. Our platform extends Kubernetes so you are expected to be familiar with its core principles. You will focus on offering best-in-class solutions related to fundamental parts of our AI platform, such as isolation, overall resource management and infrastructure to execute customer workloads. In this team we share our ideas, discuss then select the best one and deliver it together. As a side note, if you know your way through CNCF landscape then you are in the right place.

 

What You Will Need:

Basics:

• Master's degree or equivalent business experience in Computer Science or a related area
• Reliable knowledge and experience in Java
• Experience with Kubernetes
• You have a constant drive to improve and learn new concepts, tools, and technologies
• You are ready to take responsibility for developed software - from implementation to deployment
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English

 

Preferred:

• Very good knowledge and experience in Spring offerings (Boot, Security, Data, etc.)
• Experience with (async) messaging and distributed services architecture
• Experience with gradle, CI/CD, Jenkinsfile, git, docker, kubectl
• You are familiar with the principles of developing fault tolerant, reliable and durable software
• Familiarity with landscape.cncf.io

 

Nice to Have:

• Additional experience with Go
• Additional experience with Python
• Conceptual knowledge of machine learning and data science
