Job Summary:

CAE software has become the basis many engineers count on to produce high quality products. Altair products are actively using it to design sophisticated systems for products we routinely benefit from such as cars, planes or cellular networks. Join the team helping engineers make the world a better place. 

The person would assist in automation of the desktop applications and evaluating various in Altair’s suite of products. The primary function will be thoroughly evaluating features of our software, by designing realistic use cases and certifying their correctness/user-friendliness/performance, before they are released to our customers. A secondary responsibility will be growing the automation suite for the product by adding new tests, or modifying existing tests to properly capture manual testing use cases as well as contributing towards fully automating our testing pipeline by developing various scripts. 

What You Will Do:

• Test functional areas of the product to find and confirm bugs or performance issues
• Create scripts and add new automated tests for use cases not yet automated
• Troubleshoot and make corrections to the existing suite of automated tests
• Work towards fully automating the testing pipeline
• Report issues through the bug tracking software and validate fixes to bugs reported 

What You Will Need:

Basics:

•  Knowledge and experience with a scripting language such as Python
• Basic Knowledge on Embedded and Electronics Domain
• Hands on experience in desktop Automation like Ranorex 

Preferred:

• Able to work with little supervision and be a team player
• Able to work on MS Windows and Linux
