Linux Devs Engineer  

Job Summary:

What You Will Do:

Software Development & Maintenance: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications and services that run on Linux systems.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code using various programming languages, such as C, C++, Python, or Go.
  • Collaborate with other developers to ensure seamless integration of software components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to software applications and services. 

System Administration & Optimization: 

  • Configure and manage Linux servers, including installation, updates, and security hardening.
  • Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization.
  • Implement automation scripts to streamline system administration tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues, including network connectivity and resource allocation. 

Collaboration & Communication: 

  • Work closely with other developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Document technical specifications and procedures to ensure clear communication and maintainability.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to colleagues. 

Security & Compliance: 

  • Implement security best practices to protect systems from vulnerabilities and attacks.
  • Stay informed about emerging security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant security and regulatory standards. 

What You Will Need:

Basics:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Linux Developer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, including kernel concepts, system calls, and shell scripting.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for Linux development, such as C, C++, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with common Linux development tools, such as GCC, GDB, Make, and Git.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and routing.
  • Experience with system administration tasks, such as user management, file system management, and package installation.
  • Understanding of security principles and best practices for Linux systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for Linux and open-source technologies. 
  • Hybrid position. At least 2 days a week at the office.
