HPC Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

As an HPC Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing high-performance computing (HPC) environments to support complex computational workloads. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure the seamless operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HPC systems. Your expertise in HPC, Linux, scripting, and workload management will be critical in delivering high-quality solutions tailored to our customers' needs.

What You Will Do:

• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot HPC clusters and related infrastructure.
• Develop and optimize shell scripts and Python scripts for automation and system management.
• Support the deployment and management of MPI applications and containerized environments.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored HPC solutions.
• Implement and manage PBS Pro workload management system for efficient job scheduling and resource utilization.
• Analyze system performance and propose improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
• Provide technical support and problem resolution for HPC-related issues. 

What You Will Need:

Basics:

• Strong experience with HPC environments and Linux system administration.
• Proficiency in shell scripting and Python for automation tasks.
• Solid understanding of workload managers, particularly PBS Pro.
• Experience with MPI applications and container technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
• Strong customer management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and provide tailored support.
• Strong communication skills. 

Preferred:

• Knowledge of machine learning applications and their integration within HPC environments.
• Experience with advanced troubleshooting techniques and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with emerging HPC technologies and trends.
