Manufacturing Manager - Power Systems Products

 

Job Summary:

 

Our client in TX is looking for a Manufacturing Manager - Power Systems Products. This is a direct hire position.

 

As a Manufacturing Manager overseeing a Production Facility that makes Power Systems Products, you will support the Production Team and organize and oversee the manufacturing of goods, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently, maintain high-quality standards, and meet production goals.

Production Planning:

·       Coordinate with Operations, Production and Engineering to ensure that production plans are aligned.

Workflow Management:

·       Monitor and adjust workflows to optimize production efficiency in close coordination with the Production Manager.

·       Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the production process.

·       Ensure that all resources, including labor, materials, and machinery, are utilized effectively.

·       Step in to perform hands-on tasks when necessary.

Inventory Control:

·       Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.

·       Implement inventory management strategies to minimize waste and reduce costs.

·       Coordinate procurement with the operational team to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Quality Assurance:

·       Ensure that production processes meet quality standards and customer requirements.

·       Implement quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives.

·       Address and resolve any production or facility-related issues promptly.

·       Supervise mechanical and electrical work .

Staff Management:

·       Oversee production staff and time management

·       Monitor tasks and efficiency of the production team.

 

Compliance and Safety:

·       Ensure that production activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.

·       Promote and enforce health and safety standards within the production area.

·       Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.

·       Foster a safe work environment; ensuring facilities are compliant and operationally efficient.

Resource Management:

·       Determine the necessary resources (raw materials, equipment, etc.) and ensure they are available.

·       Work with the Operations Team to source suppliers.

·       Manage warehousing and stock of raw materials with the Production Manager.

·       Conduct quarterly and annual stock takes and assist with the Operational Team with procurement.

Production Management:

·       Utilize SolidWorks to read and interpret files for placing orders and managing production requirements.

·       Monitor production performance metrics and implement improvements.

·       Work the production process in conjunction with the Production Manager, from raw materials to ready-to-ship products.

·       Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

·       Manage production and stock on NetSuite, including uploading stock on arrival and managing orders.

Equipment and Maintenance:

·       Organize equipment repair and routine maintenance.

·       Ensure the equipment used by the team is maintained and operable at all times.

·       Ensure safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are used in accordance with protocols.

Additional Duties

·       Provide guided tours to customers when necessary

Skills and Qualifications:

·       8 years of proven experience in production within a manufacturing setting.

·       Experienced in operating manufacturing machinery and tools e.g. CNC machines.

·       In-depth knowledge of production management, quality control, and resource allocation.

·       Proficiency in SolidWorks and the ability to read and interpret SolidWorks files are non-negotiable.

·       Familiarity with NetSuite.

·       Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
