Account Manager, Aerospace and Defense

Job Summary:

The Account Manager is responsible for selling and promoting all Altair products and support services to customers and prospects within the Aerospace and Defense Industry across Japan, appropriately and effectively demonstrating Altair’s value add proposition whilst actively seeking business. As part of the Altair team, they will collaborate closely with all departments to ensure an excellent customer experience with Altair. The Account Manager will be capable of using approach to build strong relationships and enhancing Altair’s unique position in the market.


What You Will Do:

·       You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities in the Aerospace and Defence industry across Japan, as well as for meeting set growth targets for both Software and Services.

·       You will manage existing accounts and execute account strategies to maximize Altair’s growth in the short, medium and long term for your customers. This means taking full benefit from Altair's broad portfolio and selling Altair’s complete offering across your accounts.

·       You will define key players in strategic Aerospace Accounts with your manager and the team and build a go-to market to nurture and develop stable relationship with clients and prospects.

·       You will work in a team of extraordinarily skilled people and together with them make both the clients and Altair successful, and therefore build long-lasting and mutually beneficial business partnerships.

·       You will be managing complex sales cycles and coordinating with the marketing, sales and technical international support departments in order to propose appropriate solutions with high added value for our customers.

·       You will continuously build market knowledge and intelligence on the Aerospace and Defence sector in order to competitively position Altair.

 

What You Will Need:

·       3+ years sales experience specifically in an Aerospace and Defence environment is ideal

·       A great business mindset. Specifically, understand how Altair can create value for the Aerospace and Defence customer and how to create revenue for Altair based on that.

·       Excellent ability to establish, develop and maintain business relationships on executive level.

·       The skills to develop and execute strategies and tactics to achieve set sales targets.

·       To take full responsibility for meeting your set growth targets.

·       Proactive and driven, not afraid of challenges and eager to prove yourself against sales metrics.

·       Strong understanding of Simulation and engineering.

·       Strong passion and understanding for Aerospace & Defence industry.

·       Results-oriented.

·       Fluent communication skills both orally and in writing in Japanese and Business English communication ability

·       Ability to travel to and meet with your clients

·       This position involves handling classified information in the defence sector and therefore Japanese citizenship is a mandatory operational requirement.

This position is located in Japan (suitable locations being Tokyo and Nagoya) and reports into our Senior Account Manager based in Tokyo.
