We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Product to join our team.

You’re an experienced product leader looking for an opportunity to drive strategic impact within an organization committed to social change.

 

You are adept at leading teams, setting product vision, and aligning technology strategy with business objectives. You have experience leading a product team focused on internal applications that drive organization efficiency.  The idea of helping a company undergo a multi-year digital transformation including implementation of an ERP, building a data foundation, figuring out an AI roadmap for internal productivity, and replatforming a CRM excites you.

 

You have excellent communication skills, allowing you to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams. You are passionate about mentoring and coaching product managers, fostering a strong product management discipline, and building a culture of continuous improvement.

About the position

As Bridgespan’s Director of Product, you will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise-level applications and AI initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and business performance.  Reporting to the VP of Technology, you will lead the product management function and play a critical role driving product strategy, coaching product managers, and ensuring technology initiatives align with business objectives. As we embark on a company-wide digital transformation, this role will be pivotal in modernizing our enterprise systems, streamlining business processes, and ensuring seamless integration of innovative technologies. This role requires deep expertise in enterprise software, stakeholder management, and product lifecycle execution to deliver innovative solutions that align with business needs.

Responsibilities 

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the overall product strategy and roadmap, aligning it with Bridgespan’s business objectives​ and digital transformation goals.

  • Product Development: Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management from ideation through launch, with a focus on user experience, performance and scalability.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of product managers and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.

  • Stakeholder collaboration and management: Collaborate closely with executive leadership, business owners, and stakeholders to shape product direction​ and support change management. 

  • Product Management Excellence: Champion best practices in product management, building a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Performance Metrics & Reporting: Define key product KPIs and metrics to track performance, adoption, and overall impact on business operations

  • Strategic Project Management: Lead Bridgespan’s digital transformation initiatives with efficiency, ensuring seamless cross-functional communication and optimal allocation of resources.

  • Foster innovation: Inspire a culture of creativity, innovation and outside the box thinking.

  • Customer Focus: Deeply understand that needs of Bridgespan’s internal customers and utilize their feedback and insights to continuously improve and meet user needs.

  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research to understand industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to shape product direction.

  • Change Management: Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new tools and systems​

Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of experience in product management with a track record of leading and delivering high-impact products.

  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role managing Product Managers and working with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience driving product strategy for enterprise applications with a focus on operational efficiency.

  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to align technology initiatives with business priorities.

  • Experience in resource allocation, product roadmaps, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Proven ability to mentor and develop product management talent.

  • Experience working in agile environments, leading cross-functional teams, and driving iterative development.

  • Proficiency in conflict resolution, consensus building, and influencing without authority as well as a healthy dose of flexibility, adaptability and resilience.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision making and define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Excellent stakeholder management collaboration and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and non-technical teams and work effectively across different teams and levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in consulting or professional services.

  • Prior experience implementing digital transformation initiatives in a mission-driven organization.

  • Experience with platforms like Workday, Dynamics 365 or Salesforce as well as tools such as Jira and Confluence.

  • Familiarity with AI (including discussions on ethical AI), automation and data analytics.
