ActionLink is seeking an engaging, tech-savvy individual to join our Field Sales and Merchandising Team!

In this hybrid role, you would be responsible for a diverse range of merchandising tasks each week, from traveling to a variety of big-box retail establishments to assemble and maintain product displays, to showcasing and demonstrating the Nespresso Vertuo Coffee Machine on weekends.

Locations and Schedule

• Merchandising work in Wheaton, MD and surrounding area; up to 20 hours per week: open availability required Monday-Wednesday with additional hours, as needed 
• Nespresso Coffee Sales Advisor; 4 hours per weekend; Saturdays; 12pm-4pm w/potential for Sunday hours
• Bloomingdales in Chevy Chase, MD

What You Will Do:

Weekday Merchandising Duties:

• Store Visits: Complete merchandising projects at major retail establishments like Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and others within an assigned territory
• Purpose: To turn shelves into sales magnets and drive revenue by ensuring the proper placement, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our clients' promotional product displays
• Clients: Represent innovative, global clients such as Microsoft, Samsung, T-Mobile, Dyson, Bose, and many others
• Reporting: Submit same-day digital surveys with feedback and pictures for each completed store visit

Weekend Sales Duties:

• Provide the full Nespresso experience; coffee tastings, engaging machine demonstrations, and recommending product solutions that cater to customers' specific flavor preferences
• Use positive sales closing techniques; convey Nespresso's sustainability and recycling credentials 
• Train store associates to ensure their communication of Nespresso product information with confidence
• Maintain tasting table/demo area in accordance with proper hygiene requirements and visual standards
• Complete surveys with feedback and pictures after each shift

Are You A Match?

• Retail Experience: Previous merchandising and retail sales experience is highly desirable
• Versatility: Ability to handle all levels of merchandising work within the assigned territory
• Attention to Detail: Ability to follow complex written instructions and display diagrams
• Independence and Teamwork: Comfortable working independently most of the time and collaborating with a small team when needed
• Tech-ready: Access to the internet, basic hand-held tools, and a Wi-Fi and GPS enabled smart device with the latest operating system update. Access to a laptop or desktop computer is a strong plus.
• Travel Ability: A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle transportation
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and lift products weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance
• Enthusiast of coffee related beverages
• Comfortable presenting to individuals and groups
