Maximo Supervisor Asset Management

Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking a Supervisor to lead a team of application administrators/business analysts. This team is responsible for configuring, managing, and optimizing the IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) to support enterprise operations across asset management and work planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, validate, and document business requirements; translate them into functional specifications
  • Analyze and optimize business processes using MAS capabilities; facilitate stakeholder engagement and change management
  • Configure and maintain MAS structures, including organizations, sites, calendars, labor, and domains
  • Manage asset lifecycle, job plans, preventive maintenance, work orders, and inspection workflows
  • Design and troubleshoot dashboards, KPIs, and Start Centers to enhance user experience and performance monitoring
  • Collaborate with IT, Operations, GIS, and field teams to align MAS configurations with business needs
  • Provide user support, training, and documentation; resolve system issues and contribute to application governance
  • Lead and supervise a team of technical staff supporting asset/location and Work Management functions


Skills & Abilities

  • Maximo Expertise: Deep knowledge of MAS functionality (Assets, Work, Safety)
  • Business Analysis: Strong skills in requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and process mapping
  • System Configuration: Proficient in setting up core Maximo structures
  • Data Management: Skilled in managing labor, contracts, item records, and service requests
  • Dashboard & KPI Development: Capable of designing and troubleshooting performance dashboards
  • Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving across Maximo Manage, Spatial, Scheduler, and Optimizer
  • Process Optimization: Experience streamlining workflows and improving operational efficiency
  • Communication: Effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement
  • Continuous Improvement: Focused on enhancing usability, data integrity, and system performance
     


Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstrated years of experience in business analysis, asset management, and operations work management, including at least years in a supervisory or leadership role 
  • Demonstrated years of experience in application support or a related programming/business environment 
  • Hands-on experience administering IBM Maximo, preferably within the Maximo Application Suite (MAS), including asset, location, and work management modules 
  • Proven track record in enterprise system upgrades or implementations, preferably in a utility environment 
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL 
  • Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive cross-departmental collaboration 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
