As an Associate, Restructuring your responsibilities will include:
•    Liaise with stakeholders to administer insolvency proceedings in accordance with the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act 
•    Processing official documentation in a timely manner with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy
•    Completing legal forms for the commencement of insolvency proceedings
•    Work with team members to resolve issues on engagements
•    Provide client service/support when required
•    Resolving technical issues and seeking assistance from Managers and Trustees for complex issues
•    Demonstrating flexibility to the demands of debtors, creditors and Managers/Trustees
•    Administering CRA accounts for debtors
•    Assist file management and file destruction process
•    Preparing and editing reports, proposals, marketing materials, and other communications (strong proofing and formatting skills are essential)
•    Managing contacts and prospects in Customer Relationship Management tool
•    Supporting the client services staff including partners, principals and managers to produce high quality client deliverables
•    Preparing letters, proposals, reports and client billings using firm templates and in compliance with firm standards
•    Preparing and submitting time and expense reports
•    Courier, mail, scanning, electronic filing and database management
•    Participating in training to stay current with Doane GT software and procedures
•    Scheduling and coordinating meetings and/or appointments
•    Filing, arranging for couriers, ordering supplies, photocopying, collating, mailing, and faxing 
•    Other duties as required

Think you’ve got what it takes to be an Associate, Restructuring? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:
•    Post-secondary (or some post-secondary) education, preferably in business or accounting
•    1-2 years of experience in a business setting, preferably public practice
•    Obtained (or willingness to enroll in and complete) the Insolvency Administrator program through CAIRP
•    Excellent word processing skills with high attention to accuracy and detail. Must have an aptitude for proofreading and suggesting alternatives
•    Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook & Excel
•    Organized, detail oriented, and works well under pressure
•    Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
•    Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn on the job
•    Flexible and comfortable in a fast-changing environment
•    Works well in a team environment
•    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; confident contacting clients
•    Self-motivated
