Information Systems Security Engineer

 

Why This is an Exciting Role:

As an Information Systems Security Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on security design, conducting assessments, and contributing to technical artifacts critical to our program's success. This role involves collaboration within a team to review and assess RMF authorization evidence for classified information systems, ensuring compliance with security controls and protocols. You will also serve as the technical authority on cyber security within the government program management office.

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:  

Required Education and Years of Experience: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 9+ years of related experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Windows and Linux environments
  • 5+ years of experience with Xacta
  • 2+ years of using information security and assurance practices and principles
  • 5+ years of experience with virtualization or cloud environments
  • 5+ years of implementing NIST 800-53, Rev 4 and the Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Required Qualifications: ​

  • TS/SCI with poly clearance 
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (Sec+, CISSP, CASP, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to engage with users professionally and present technical concepts clearly
  • Experience interfacing with seasoned Government personnel
  • Ability to work in a matrixed team environment and support multiple efforts as needed
  • Desire to learn new technologies and share knowledge with the team

Desired Qualifications: ​

  • Other Security related certifications (Cloud, SIEM, forensics, Linux, Windows, etc.)
  • Experience working in a DevSecOps project environment
  • Former or current system administrator, developer, or engineer
  • Familiarity with MS Active Directory, Splunk, ACAS/Nessus, McAfee, AWS Security, etc.

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$150,000-$175,000
