Linux Systems Administrator 

 

Why This is an Exciting Role:

As a Linux System Administrator at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics, you will play a crucial role in the systems administration of our Enterprise Cross Domain Service (ECDS) system. You'll have the opportunity to lead complex database system development, recommend system improvements, and translate technical requirements into actionable solutions. This position requires strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:  

Required Education and Years of Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • 9 or more years of related experience
  • DoD 8570 Level II - Security+ CE certification

Required Qualifications: ​

  • TS/SCI with poly clearance
  • Experience directing development of complex database systems, including schema and architectural design
  • Proficiency in Cloud methodologies
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Experience with Red Hat, Apache Storm, Nimbus, Zookeeper, NiFi, Salt Stack, ELK Stack, vCenter, Purifile, Cylance, Glasswall, McAfee, Clam AV, Cyber Soft vFind, Splunk

Duties include: ​

  • Administering the Enterprise Cross Domain Service (ECDS) system
  • Leading long-range requirements planning for database administration and design
  • Recommending system improvements and optimizations
  • Translating requirements into actionable documents through queries, scripts, and macros
  • Mitigating risks and managing large-scale projects effectively
  • Coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams
  • Analyzing user requirements and developing system specifications
  • Guiding users in formulating requirements and conducting feasibility studies

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$150,000 - $172,000
