Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher in a Bachelors of Science degree program in Civil Engineering; structural engineering emphasis (preferred)

Other Required Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of translating technical guidance received into usable data applicable to the particular engineering assignment (involves limited responsibility)

  • Problem solving abilities

  • Basic understanding of engineering skills and the ability to extract design concepts/information from architectural and structural documents

  • Positive and helpful attitude
  • Interest in manufacturing and construction business operations

  • Effective verbal, written and graphic communication skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Strong desire to learn

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of design standards for precast concrete products (ACI, PCI) and steel members (AISC)

  • Familiarity with local building codes (IBC)

Physical Requirements:

  • Office: Move 25lbs (not for all jobs, reasonable accommodations will be made), work with a computer for extended periods of time

Work Environment:

  • Office: Quiet with some ambient noise, climate controlled, fluorescent lighting
