About the Role

This opening is for a Material Handler/Driver position in Manufacturing Group based in Fremont, California. This role is responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing, transporting and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.  Candidates performance will be subject to peer review.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices
• Examine goods and reject unsatisfactory items when necessary
• Maintain records of received goods
• Stocks goods in inventory
• Prepare goods for final shipment 
• Posts weights and shipping charges 
• Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped
• Follow the work safety guidelines as established by the company
• Drive company vehicle in compliance with all Federal, State, and local traffic laws to transport and pickup materials
• Perform routine inspections of the vehicle, record routes, and log time and mileage readings
• Load and unload the vehicle as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience
• Able to print and read stock room documentation
• Close work orders
• ISO 9000 oriented
• Class 1000 clean room environment
• Unassisted lifting may be required up to 25lbs
• Valid state driver’s license (CDL)

Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements:

• Successful completion of required Safety training.
• Ensure equipment and machines are maintained in safe operating condition.
• Report to the Safety Officer any unsafe or unhealthy condition which cannot be corrected.
• Follow all safety and health regulations and work practices, including personal protective equipment where applicable.
