DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

As a Scheduler on our team, you will help to support the development, analysis, and reporting of cost, schedule and performance progress. Additionally, you will identify dependencies and relationships and collaborate with senior management. The ideal fit will have strong verbal and written skills which are necessary to communicate and manage client expectations successfully, understand schedule interdependencies and Work Breakdown Structure relationship to program management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

  • You have a bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Finance or some quantitative discipline.
  • You've achieved 10-20 years of meaningful experience within the field.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Project.
  • Experience in leading project planning efforts.
  • Experience in project schedule analysis software, such as Primavera P6
  • Applicants selected must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and retain the designated Government clearance.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

We will show high consideration to applicants with the below skills:

  • You have hands on experience working with Federal program management and scheduling support processes.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project to manage program schedules with baselines
  • Experience providing Critical Path analysis and implementing scheduling standards and standard methodologies
  • Experience using Earned Value Techniques within the scheduling environment (tool)
  • Ability to build quality program schedules, including implementation and investment analysis schedules, whether the schedule is built from the ground up, or is “inherited” following GAO’s Best Practices in schedule development.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems, MS Project and Primavera, as required
  • Lead planning efforts supporting a government program office
  • Gather, maintain and process schedule updates; provide analysis and status reports (oral and written) to program partners including technical leads, and program managers
  • Evaluate project, program, and cross program dependencies
  • Evaluate program schedules for logical execution around engineering, implementation, installation and testing
  • Use schedule data to generate and provide metrics to program office partners
  • Perform other schedule related activities as directed
  • Conduct regular risk schedule margin reviews on a quarterly basis and conduct annual baseline reviews for the upcoming Fiscal Year
  • Master's Degree or higher may act as substitute for years of experience desired.
