Overview of the Position:
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate is the Information Technology (IT) leader for the Air Force community and Department of Defense (DoD), delivering comprehensive IT solutions and providing expert contracting, acquisition and program management.
MCR Federal has an opportunity for a Program Manager III, HR Systems located at Randolph AFB, TX.
Air Force Human Resources Division supports a variety of AF Personnel Web applications.
Assist the program manager in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baselines;
Recommend viable solutions to problems and the pursuit of alternative courses of action;
Effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.);
Able to plan, research, analyze and assess system acquisition in terms of development, production and deployment of weapons systems and associated equipment;
Formulate plans and recommend effective strategies in meeting cost, schedule and performance objectives;
Able to support and develop acquisition reports, including statutory and regulatory reports (i.e. DAES, MAR, etc.);
Support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews and IMP/IMS reviews;
Able to support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management.
Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience, and recognized ability to be considered an expert in their technical/professional field, possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, and practices in their area of expertise. (Program Office, Enterprise, and Staff Level Support interface).
Advanced Degree (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 years of which must be in the DoD or,
BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD or,
20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, 8 of which must be in the DoD;
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Highly proficient with computers and software applications to include Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, etc.), expert attention-to-detail & highly organized.
Responsible for managing all activities of a software development project.
Knowledge and/or experience of Agile Software Development Methodology.
Knowledge and/or experience managing Oracle ERP software development projects.
