Senior Manager, CRM Systems

This position is responsible for managing our Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud (e-CRM) platforms as part of an overall data management team that supports fundraising and analytics efforts.  This role will be responsible for the daily administration of the CRMs as well as implementing new tools and functionality to improve or enhance the existing platform.  The ideal candidate will have experience with Salesforce CRM administration, Salesforce Marketing cloud, and writing T-SQL.  As the CRMs serve multiple teams within the organization, experience managing expectations and ensuring cross functional success as well as leading stakeholders through systems or functionality changes is required.  This is a unique opportunity as the team is small; everyone plays multiple roles resulting in opportunities for both technical and professional growth.  The position will require someone who is able to understand the business needs of our stakeholders and build complete solutions.  This individual will report to the Senior Director, Business Intelligence & Analytics and will work with stakeholders within the membership, philanthropy, and finance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business requirements, pain points, and new functionality as related to Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud (e-CRM)
  • Perform routine CRM administration duties within the CRM and e-CRM in order to maintain user licenses and perform routine maintenance
  • Work with the Data Architect to research, design, and implement solutions requiring configuration and minor development in order to enhance and introduce new functionality to the existing platform
  • With the assistance of the Data Architect, maintain existing and develop new integrations with the CRMs
  • Perform routine system and data monitoring to ensure performant systems and data
  • Create and maintain a data governance repository for CRM system usage
  • Train users on system usage, best practices, and new products

Skills/Qualifications

  • 5 years of overall experience with Salesforce CRM
  • 2 years of hands-on experience as a system administrator including implementation, day-to-day operations, upgrades, and maintenance
  • 2 years of experience building cross-departmental, custom solutions including custom objects, flows, workflows, and validation rules
  • 2 years of experience leading design, requirements, and training sessions with business users
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality
  • Experience working with integrated systems and a demonstrated ability to assess the impact of new requirements on the CRM as well as upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes
  • Ability to write basic T-SQL statements and queries
  • Creative and analytical thinker with demonstrated experience managing data as an asset
  • Experience using  tools such as Dataloader or Demand Tools is preferred
  • Experience managing data, integrations, or automations within Salesforce Marketing cloud is preferred
  • Experience setting up and supporting sales processes within Salesforce CRM is preferred
  • Knowledge of Salesforce programming languages such as Apex, Visualforce, and SOQL is preferred
  • Experience working with NGO Connect or NPSP is preferred
  • Experience working with a membership revenue model is preferred

Due to current COVID restrictions, you must be able to work remotely at your own designated location with Internet access and you must be willing and able to work at our Navy Pier offices, if needed. Right now, most of our staff is working remotely.
