The Opportunity: Creative Manager
The Creative Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing design and creation, visual brand identity, and production aspects for a wide variety of print, digital/web, social media and other advertising projects that support Chicago Public Media’s integrated marketing and branding initiatives.This position will work closely with various department stakeholders to translate marketing and communications strategies into compelling creative concepts to consistently bring the WBEZ and Vocalo brands to vision
Preferred Skills and Experience
A minimum of 5-7+ years’ experience producing campaigns and designs at an in-house marketing team or agency.
Excellent creative and conceptualization skills with an ability to execute impactful, engaging creative across platforms including digital/social, print and merchandising.
Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator).
Experience working with presentation software like Keynote, PowerPoint and Google Slides
Understanding of design standards for both desktop and mobile environments
Understanding of social media and streaming platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
Experience working in an email marketing platform strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and responsive design preferred.
Experience in copywriting a plus.
Strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office.
