The Dental Health Aide Therapist (DHAT) Program is Expanding!

Please fill out this application if you are interested in having YKHC support while you train to become a DHAT.

Application deadline is FEBRUARY 16. 2024

Training Program Expectations:  As a student, attend all classes and clinical experiences as directed.  Successfully complete the 2 year course of education and graduate from the program.  A portion of the training program will be held in Anchorage. 

Completing the program may result in an Associate Degree.

Sponsorship: 

  • Your tuition will be paid. 
  • You will get a set amount of money for living expenses. 
  • You will be assisted with housing arrangements.

Expectations After Graduation:  Successful completion of a preceptorship in Bethel at YKHC and employment by YKHC for 4 years.

Program Qualifications:

  • Pass a background check
  • High School Diploma or GED Recipient
  • Able and willing to put forth the effort and commit to the time necessary to complete the program successfully, which may result in some family and social sacrifices
  • Willing to work with potentially hazardous equipment and material
  • Able and willing to commit to working for YKHC at the Sub-Regional Clinic for a time period of 4 years
