Description


As Software Test Engineer, you will perform scientific software analysis and testing as well as associated documentation. The work activities range from understanding the requirements from the stakeholders, developing manual and automated test scenarios, executing tests, and reporting on test results. The Software Test Engineer will participate in both localized testing and full integrated system testing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct analysis of output data and provide results and recommendations
• Independently assess system performance against stated requirements
• Analyze internal security within system enhancements
• Serve as subject matter specialist providing testing know-how for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software applications
• Prepare test documentation including test plans, test procedures, test results, and test readiness review presentations
• Interact directly with the business community to clarify requirements
• Writing/editing/executing/debugging test productivity tools and other duties as assigned
• Executing regression test procedures to evaluate system for regression of core capabilities
• Review test results and evaluate for conformance to design
• Assist with other project documentation including requirements specification document, design documents, interface control document, user manuals, and operations and maintenance manuals
• Define and implement QA operations from technology to processes
 


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• DoD TS/SCI Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 3+ years of experience as a Software Tester
• Experience developing complex applications in an Agile environment
• Knowledge of multi-domain network configurations
• Ability to analyze complex programmatic information and provide workable solutions to help minimize project risks
• Ability to work independently while maintaining appropriate communications about progress and issues
• General understanding of the software development lifecycle for projects
• Ability to manage scope as it pertains to areas of responsibility
• Ability to identify and document risks, opportunities and efficiencies related to
• Possession of excellent organizational skills, including tracking multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesizing the results
• Positive attitude, desire to contribute to the success of a growing organization 
• Ability to manage time well to meet assigned milestones
• Experience working with distributed teams

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field


 
REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE

• DoD TS/SCI Clearance is required
