The Supervisor, Property Preservation is responsible for managing the Property Preservation Team throughout the inspection/preservation process.  The Supervisor will coordinate the management of the preservation actions to ensure the timely and accurate processing of all inspections and preservation work from first time vacancy through the completed foreclosure sale date or conveyance date.  This role implements processes within the required timeframes of new GSE and/or state guideline changes. The Supervisor will identify opportunities within the department for process improvement to enhance efficiencies.  This role builds and maintains relationships with key individuals within the organization, external vendors and clients.


  • Reviews daily management reports to ensure compliance with GSE guidelines and Client’s requirements for Property Inspections / Preservation
  • Monitors Vendor performance to ensure performance is within vendor Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Reports Vendor performance outside of SOW
  • Schedules and conducts calls with vendors to discuss overall performance loan level
  • Creates additional reports as needed, with the guidance of Property Preservation Manager, to enable proper monitoring of Property Preservation work output
  • Responds to escalated Client or borrower requests and concerns
  • Attends Client meetings and Client calls
  • Assigns and monitors work to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations and guidelines, as applicable
  • Provides guidance and assistance to staff so they can fulfill their responsibilities
  • Sets staffing goals, prepare and present performance reviews, review department performance and plan regular department meetings
  • Develops & Distributes performance improvement plans if an employee's performance is not adequate
  • Ensures employees receive appropriate training, equipment and supplies to perform effectively
  • Monitors attendance records and approve requests for time off
  • Conducts interviews of potential job candidates
  • Assists with implementation of department policies and procedures; communicate new requirements to staff
  • Completes other duties and projects as assigned by management


  • Related experience of 2 -3 years of default servicing experience within the Mortgage Banking industry and/or a Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Previous Leadership experience is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills; oral and written
  • Detail oriented; ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Organizational Skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of individuals as a team player or in a leadership role
  • Skilled knowledge of Microsoft Office, Access, spreadsheets and software applications
