The Loan Support Specialist performs various tasks in support of servicing transfers; incoming, outgoing and internal. Ensures work achieves all quality and productivity standards while striving to provide customers (internal/external) and clients with the utmost responsiveness.   Counter-parties include Portfolio Transfer and Service Release analysts, Subservicing Clients/Sellers/Prior Servicers/Buyers/ Future Servicers and a variety of Cenlar internal business partners.  Special emphasis and collaboration necessary with Investor Accounting, Cash Reconciliations and Tax/Insurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the ‘Issues’ mail boxes for Portfolio Transfers by responding to inquiries and performing the necessary tasks and research to resolve issues, included escalated items and Qualified Written Request tasks timely
  • Manages tasks assigned to portfolio transfers within MSP including research and resolution within the required time frames
  • Effectively manages escalated issues from Clients and Client Relationship Managers with the utmost responsiveness and diffuse the situation by utilizing good customer service skills
  • Assists with ongoing process improvement projects aimed at improving quality and productivity
  • Assists in research and preparation of responses to Internal Audit, Compliance, Client Audit Support and Due Diligence requests.
  • Manages the approval and reconciliation of all RESPA and non-RESPA Transfer notices and Validation of Debt letters
  • Manages escalations of remediation of Data Integrity and Escrow Related Transfer findings, where necessary submit passport transactions to update data/maintain loans

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of mortgage servicing preferred with specific knowledge in taxes, escrow analysis, insurance and MIP/PMI a plus
  • MSP experience preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving and research skills required and demonstrable
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills for potential contact with clients and management
  • Must be able to multi-task effectively.
  • Must be detail oriented and possess excellent follow up skills.
