The Supervisor, Bank Operations must be detailed-oriented, possess excellent computer skills, follow-up skills and communication skills, as well as have an in-depth understanding of Banking, ACH and Mortgage Servicing practices.  The Supervisor is responsible for managing the flow of daily work within the department, daily supervision of employees, managing the daylight overdraft position at the Federal Reserve Bank, making certain that all employees within the department are trained for the various job functions.  This role must have a thorough understanding of all tasks processed in the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises staff, including the completion of annual performance evaluations
  • Acts as department manager in their absence
  • Creates processes for new functions within the department
  • Reviews and updates processes for changes in work flow
  • Supervises workflow within the department, including but not limited to:
    • Cash Plan Management
    • Securities Management
    • Returned check, inclearing check, and/or ACH reconciliation
    • Check adjustments
    • Proof of deposit
    • Wire transfers
    • Corporate Processing
    • General ledger reconciliation and research
  • Monitors daylight overdraft at the FRB
  • Conducts corporate-wide wire transfer training
  • Trains employees in all positions within department
  • Completes other duties that may arise within the Bank Operations Department

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (business or accounting preferred)
  • 3 - 5 years of bank operations experience and payment processing/cash management experience
  • Extensive experience working with spreadsheets, Word, and database programs
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Strong math aptitude for processing and proving of correspondent banking transactions
  • Position does not require overtime, but occasionally may necessitate working overtime to complete assignments
