Evans Distribution Systems, one of the area’s leading logistics providers is looking for experienced Stand-up Forklift Driver for its growing Division in Melvindale, MI.

Description

• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product as needed.
• Efficiently stack and store merchandise in the appropriate area
• Check or count freight for accuracy and/or damage and infestation.
• Prepare necessary paperwork and submit to operations manager.
• Frequent & repetitive lifting using both hands/arms for items weighing approximately 50 lbs.
• The Lifting frequency may be in excess of 100 repetitions per shift.
• Frequent bending and twisting at waist/knees/neck while off-loading and loading trucks.
• Help maintain cleanliness of warehouse and building grounds.
• Handle customer products with integrity.
• Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate safety and security standards.
• Assist in warehousing operations as needed, and all other miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor.
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials with integrity in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Responsible for awareness and compliance with warehouse work rules and company policies.
• Lift using proper safety methods provided by the company.

Requirements

• High school degree/GED

• 3 years’ experience driving a Standup Forklift is a must.

• Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing (includes background check and drug test).

  • 7am start to 330pm Monday thru Friday flexible to work overtime during peak season.
  • Starting wage: $16.00/hour
