Nurse Manager – Crisis Services – Highlands Harbor & The Anchor

Highlands Harbor is a crisis stabilization program that provides an alternative to hospitalization.  Highlands Harbor offers an overnight, non-hospital setting that focuses on individualized care for those experiencing psychiatric/substance use crisis including detox.  This program has the capacity of a 12-bed unit in a newly renovated building.

The Anchor is  a program that provides a 24/7 facility-based crisis center for those experiencing a psychiatric/substance related mental health crisis. The center serves as an alternative to hospitalization and provides a safe space with open recliners or individual calm rooms for undergoing severe impairment of functioning because of a precipitating situation or personal distress- in which the crisis is expected to be resolved within 23 hours.

This vital position will assist in managing the Crisis Services nursing staff to ensure efficiency in operations and quality of services. Supervise nursing staff and coordinate the medical providers’, nurses’ and employees’ schedules to ensure adequate coverage and support. Serve as liaison between pharmacy and laboratory services, and nursing staff. Manage staffing budgets, operational efficiency, and resource allocation.

Position Specifics:
Location:  Abingdon, VA
Status:    Full-time, Exempt, Day Shift: Monday - Friday
Compensation:  $85,000 – Commensurate with education/experience. $3,000 Sign-On Bonus!!! 
Education:  Current/Active license in the State of Virginia as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred.
Experience:  Five (5) years’ experience with children & youth and/or adults in a Psychiatric Setting and Five (5) years’ experience management of nurses and/or other medical staff.
