Job Title: Data Scientist – NSTRAT System

Compensation: $65,000 – $90,000 (based on experience)

Position Overview

C2 Essentials is seeking a qualified Data Scientist to support the Naval Ship Tracking, Reporting and Analysis Tool (NSTRAT) system. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Navy network management and software engineering, with experience developing and maintaining data analysis tools. This position involves system administration responsibilities to ensure the availability and reliability of mission-critical services.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide system administration support for the NSTRAT system
• Monitor application and service availability; troubleshoot issues as needed
• Develop, test, and maintain data analysis and event reconstruction tools
• Perform database entry, management, and monitor automated backup processes
• Conduct database query analysis to extract and interpret operational insights

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required
• Minimum 5 years of U.S. Navy experience managing Navy computer networks
• At least 3 years of experience using Python and related programming tools for data analysis scripting
• Must hold and maintain certifications/training for FLANKSPEED IL6 Azure Privileged Access, including:
   Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
   IAT Level II certification (DoD 8570 compliant)
   Additional certifications as required for FLANKSPEED IL6 services
