Primary Purpose of the Job
To retrieve and process public court records from Minnesota courthouses by accessing Public Access Terminals and following standard operating procedures, supporting the accurate and efficient completion of search requests; work is conducted at the courthouse on a daily basis.
Supervisory Responsibility
Does not directly supervise team members.
Essential Duties
- Daily travel to an assigned Minnesota courthouse to review and retrieve public records in designated public areas; no dedicated workstation or office space is provided.
- Accurately retrieve and process court search results according to standard operating procedures.
- Ensure timely and complete processing of all assigned search results.
- Maintain high attention to detail while reviewing and reporting search results.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with internal team members.
- Stay informed of current policies and procedures.
- Continued professional development through ongoing training and education.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills

- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and in-person.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general PC use.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
Travel Requirements
- Reliable transportation for daily courthouse travel (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
Physical and Mental Demands
- Maintain a professional demeanor, attitude, and appearance.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing at a desk and while working on a computer.
- Ability to lift and carry work equipment up to 15 pounds on a regular basis.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Regular interaction with other team members, including spontaneous and planned video meetings.
- Ability to effectively perform responsibilities under occasionally stressful situations, including meeting daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and/or annua standards and workload expectations.
- Ability to work any shift and required overtime based on business needs.
