Position Summary
Transform lives by being responsible for developing compelling visual and written content that aligns with our brand identity and strategic goals. This role blends strong graphic design capabilities with persuasive copywriting skills to produce high-impact materials for multiple platforms.
Duties & Responsibilities
Design effective, brand-aligned materials for a variety of channels, including print, digital, web, and signage. Design work includes—but is not limited to—flyers, brochures, publications, reports, apparel, digital monitors, and marquees for both new and existing campaigns.
Write, edit, and proofread clear, engaging, and brand-aligned copy for marketing campaigns and college materials.
Collaborate with the Senior Communications Strategist on writing and executing tasks, including press releases and web copy, ensuring consistent use of Mid-State’s marketing messages and branding.
Manage creative projects and story development from concept through completion, managing timelines, revisions, and stakeholder input to ensure timely, high-quality results.
Research and implement innovative design trends, marketing best practices, and emerging tools or platforms to continuously enhance the impact and relevance of creative outputs.
Assist with web edits, news monitoring, data collection, and reporting tasks.
Maintain content calendar for college marketing and public relations.
Collaborate with Marketing & Communications team members and departments across the College to ensure alignment and consistency.
Assist in processing, monitoring, and updating projects within the project management software, perform necessary reports and track due dates.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field. Combination of education and related experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree will be considered.
Three to five years of experience working with marketing, communications, public relations, and/or advertising required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
Must be able to demonstrate good organizational skills, positive interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills.

Compensation is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
