Primary Responsibilities:
Design, Develop and maintain data models to support Business Intelligence and Data Analysis needs applying traditional and modern approaches such as dimensional modeling, data lake house structure and others
Lead the design of flexible data ingestion pipelines for various data sources, leveraging Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Data Bricks, SQL Server, and other tools
Optimize existing data solutions to enhance performance, scalability, and durability
Review and improve data flows, integrating new technologies and best practices
Communicate all models and flow using industry best practice tools and methods (ERD’s, data flow diagrams, logical, physical models, etc.)
Collaborate closely with BI teams to design transformations for business-ready data.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or in lieu of degree related experience and education
5+ years of experience modeling, designing, building, and supporting Data Lake / Data Warehouse transformation architectures in a production environment
Experience with technical Data Design and Modeling with Microsoft Cloud (Azure) Stack
Proficient in SQL, particularly in profiling, validating, and transforming large datasets. Azure SQL managed instance experience is preferred.
Expertise in Azure data services, including SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Data Bricks and PowerBI
Demonstrated experience in supporting BI initiatives, working closely with stakeholders to deliver consumable data
Familiar with best practices for data flow patterns for data ingestion into Data warehouse with progression from file or database source ingestion into consumable Data Warehouse
Specialty Pharmacy and/or Healthcare experience preferred; aptitude for acquiring strong industry knowledge
Ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize responsibilities
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical and business concepts and express them in clear language
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
