We are currently seeking an Account Manager to support a high-profile account based out of Midtown, NYC.

Job Overview:

As Account Manager, you will manage and direct all operations, staffing, expense and revenue goals of an on-site program, in addition to direct management of Site Leaders from other locations of the same client.

You’ll take on a key role in the marketing, promotion, planning and staffing of all programs at sites under your supervision, and support your direct Site Leaders in executing programs at their respective locations. You will also act as a bridge between Workplace Well-being and the Client’s supervising department. Although you’ll spend less time on the site floor than the rest of the staff, you’ll still maintain a high profile with both staff and members.

What you will do:

  • Assist the Service Delivery leader in implementing the client’s established wellness vision and strategies that will result in improving the health and resiliency of the employee population.
  • Coordinate marketing and communication efforts with the Site Leader and Health Promotion Specialist at all client locations under your supervision to ensure adherence to the client’s branding requirements and communication protocols.
  • Leverage outstanding leadership skills to guide each Site Leader and Health Promotion Specialist and their professional staff to provide exceptional customer service to meet and exceed client expectations
  • Establish high level relationships with Facilities/Building Services and other key operational units to ensure efficient responsiveness to all site’s facility needs
  • Develop performance goals for self, Site Leaders, Health Promotion Specialists and other professional staff that focus on KPIs and ancillary services. Conduct weekly meetings with Site Leaders and Health Promotion Specialists (as well as your own on-site management team; i.e. Directors and Assistant Managers) to ensure that they remain on target for revenue goals, action plans and upcoming programming.
  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to the Service Delivery leader outlining revenue, utilization, penetration, retention and any other pertinent operational details of sites within your supervision.  
  • Work with the Service Delivery leader to manage all site operating budgets. 
  • Work with the corporate team and the Service Delivery leader on short- and long-term strategic planning for the client’s sales and marketing, staffing, programming, facilities, equipment and more.

On-Site Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll and accounts payable and receivable, provide accurate and timely information to Client departments as appropriate.  
  • Manage primary human capital responsibilities which include, hiring, coaching, motivating, scheduling, training, developing, evaluating, assigning projects and workload to and, when necessary, terminating staff. 
  • Implement and follow all Workplace Well-being and Client policies and procedures, as outlined in the Team Member Manual. 
  • Respond to member suggestions, concerns and complaints in a timely, professional and consistent manner, providing the gold standard in customer service, and ensure all staff deliver the same gold standard. (If you can’t do so yourself, take the initiative to find another team member who can.)
  • Help staff feel fully integrated into the Workplace Well-being culture by incorporating its mission, values and hospitality vision into everyday activities, making it a nice place to work.   
  • Encourage staff to pursue advanced training, development and growth opportunities, and to apply for eligible job opportunities within Workplace Well-being. 
  • Recognize staff for individual and team achievements. 
  • Direct the professional staff in coordinating and running member orientations, onboarding and testing, as well as programs, contests and activities. 
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all site offerings, and refer members to other Workplace Well-being programs, products and services or Client vendor partners as needed.
  • Knowledge of local competition, and ability to identify ways of maintaining competitive advantage against it.  
  • Ensure that staff is actively prospecting and generating new leads. 

What we are looking for: 

  • A current and active Workplace Well-being team member.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (e.g. health science, health promotion, business administration, etc.)
  • Three to five years of management experience, with two to three years of experience as a Site Leader or comparable.
  • Thorough industry knowledge and the ability to skillfully interact, engage and network with all clients, guests and participants.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, time management, problem-solving, organizational and follow-up skills.  
  • A thorough knowledge of financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting and strategic business planning.
  • Competence with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and finance/payroll systems .
  • Strategic thinking skills relative to design and delivery of health promotion and wellness programming in the corporate environment
  • Strong financial analysis skills and solid business acumen
  • Thorough knowledge of health, fitness, nutrition, exercise and other wellness principle
  • Demonstrated leadership success
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, trend analysis and communicating at an executive level

Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs. In addition to the hourly rate, Plus One offers a comprehensive benefits package (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements), which includes health insurance, life and disability benefits, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
