What You’ll Do

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be accountable for leading and directing Maintenance Mechanical Technicians to maximize quality, efficiency and safety of mechanical maintenance work. You will support continuous improvement initiatives through active participation and providing guidance to Maintenance Mechanical Technicians. Other duties include:

  • Demonstrate and be committed to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulations
  • Lives and fosters the Incitec Pivot Limited (IPL) values
  • Works closely with the site leadership teams to ensure our business culture is driven by our company values
  • Apply knowledge to scope and direct repairs of plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain equipment repair records and assist in preventive/predictive maintenance systems.
  • Maintain operating and spare equipment in a fully operable and reliable condition
  • Participate in resolving unanticipated problems to allow completion of maintenance work.
  • Assist in the solicitation of bids for materials and service work on equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records for time sheet verification on work schedules and exception time.
  • Evaluate Mechanical technician performance and provide coaching for continuous improvements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Technical college or equivalent training in the equipment maintenance field, or relevant plant experience preferred.
  • Skill areas include millwright, pipe fitter, welder, machinist, mobile equipment, carpentry and general maintenance practices. 
  • 5+ years of experience in the maintenance field working with chemical plant, refinery or paper mill type equipment
  • Familiar with maintenance management systems (CMMS) for recordkeeping and parts requirements.
  • Familiar with OSHA, EPA and ASME Codes as they apply to mechanical maintenance work.
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player
