What You’ll Do
As a Initiation Systems Engineer Intern, you will support the team by learning about the products made and/or designed at the Simsbury site. Some products may include cast boosters, shock tube systems, electric and non-electric detonators and other initiation system (IS) products. Duties include:
Work with site leaders to identify and implement continuous improvement.
Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety
Gather information to provide customers with explosives products safely, efficiently and in a timely manner
Work collaboratively with internal and external resources to maintain thorough knowledge of products requirements and goals.
Assist with driving projects to improve throughout and reduce scrap, maintain product quality, and provide technical support for production activities of automation equipment
