JOB TITLE: Certified Nursing Assistant 2

SUPERVISOR: Director of Day Surgery

HOURS PER WEEK: 40hrs/Non-Exempt (Variable 10hr shifts Monday - Friday)

DEPARTMENT: Day Surgery

HIRING BONUS: $1,000 after 90 days

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for assisting in the monitoring of patients admitted to the extended stay unit.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
1.    Participates as a member of the health care team under the direction of a licensed nurse as defined by Standards and Authorized Duties for Certified Nursing Assistants (OAR 851-63-0010 - 0060, 0080, 0090). *
2.    Assist in post-anesthesia recovery and monitoring of surgical patients, examinations or other surgical procedures as requested by the physician or registered nurse. *
3.    Demonstrates complete understating of established emergency procedures for the Surgery Center and responds appropriately to emergency codes. *
4.    Work in a cooperative manner with management/supervision, coworkers, customers and vendors.
5.    Employees will not be discourteous or disrespectful to a customer or any member of the public while in the course and scope of company business.
6.    Greet patients, family members, and other visitors to the facility.
7.    Complete all employee/patient incident documentation in a thorough and timely manner.
8.    Maintain regular work attendance and punctuality. *
9.    Abide by company policies. *
10.    Restock and clean designated areas
11.    Assists with clerical functions.
12.    Other duties as assigned. 

REQUIREMENTS:
⦁    Current, unencumbered Oregon CNA level 2 certification
⦁    High School diploma or equivalent
⦁    Current BLS certification
