POSITION:     Lab Proctor (PT)

Effective immediately: (PT) Lab Proctor, College of Technology, Wilmington University

Requirements:  A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must have related coursework or specialized training beyond the high school level relevant to the College of Technology. The incumbent must have at least (1) year of experience. Must have excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and computer skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to work with diverse populations.  Must be self-directed and able to make decisions independently. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office products. Must demonstrate respect for diversity in the workplace and a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment that values the contributions of all employees. Must maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):     
•    Ensure proper maintenance with all MAC and PCs, printers, scanners, projectors, and other peripherals, including: 
             o    installation and upgrading of hardware and software
             o    networking support
             o    consumables replenishment
             o    inventory control
             o    troubleshooting and basic maintenance, as needed
•    Coordinate with the IT Department for hardware and software updating and the appropriate maintenance.
•    Assist the IT Department with the reimaging of the labs before the start of each block, as necessary. 
•    Maintain all studios.
•    Manage the inventory control function involving equipment loaning for students.
•    Assist with computer lab use, software, etc., when required.
•    Assist with the hiring, selection, and scheduling of proctors.
•    Make recommendations to the Chair and/or Dean on equipment replacement, lab space use as well as projections and equipment life cycles.
•    Promote and foster an inclusive and diverse environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
•    Perform all duties which may be assigned by the Chair and/or Dean.

Hours of Employment: Generally, Monday – Sunday, as scheduled.  However, the incumbent must be flexible enough with their hours and schedule to meet the needs of the University and the College.
